Adam Zimmerman

Adam Zimmerman has extensive work experience in the field of cyber security. Adam currently holds the position of Vice President, Cyber Security at Gateway Casinos and Entertainment Limited, where they serve as the CISO and leads various security initiatives such as threat intelligence, intrusion detection, and incident response. Prior to this role, Zimmerman worked as an Executive Director and Director of Cyber Security at Cineplex, spearheading growth and operational strategies in alignment with the evolving threat landscape. Adam has also held roles as a Security Architect at CDW Canada, Information Security Officer at Moneris, and Cyber Security Advisor at Horizon Utilities Corporation. Zimmerman's early career includes positions as a Cyber Risk Consultant at Deloitte Canada, Graduate Researcher at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, IT Consultant at CMS Consulting Inc., and System Monitoring Technician/Analyst at Infrastructure Guardian Inc. Adam brings a wealth of expertise in security technologies, cloud environments, threat research, and encryption techniques.

Adam Zimmerman completed their education at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Master's degree in IT Security from 2013 to 2014. Prior to that, they attended Seneca Polytechnic from 2009 to 2013 and earned a degree in IT Security. Adam also holds additional certifications in Cyber Threat Intelligence from the SANS Institute and NSE 3 from Fortinet.
