Senior Network Engineer at Gateway Fiber

Jeff Shilt has extensive experience in the field of network engineering. Jeff began their career at Savvis in 1996 as a TAC Engineer and Site Install Engineer and remained there until 1999. From 1998 to 2000, they worked as a Network Analyst and Installation Supervisor at CoreExpress. In 2000, they joined Digital Teleport Inc./CenturyTel as a Metro Operations Engineer and IP Engineer, where they stayed until 2004. During this time, they also worked for the DoD Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) as a Senior Network Engineer, managing various network systems. Jeff then joined Computer World Services Corp. (CWS) as a Senior Network Engineer, working with the DoD Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and managing network security and traffic flow until 2013. In 2013, they worked as a Network Engineer at Jacobson Staffing Inc., where they handled projects involving firewall maintenance and switch installations. From 2014 to 2017, they served as an Optical Engineer at Verizon Wireless World, where they designed and implemented fiber networks for cell sites. Since 2017, they have been employed by AT&T as a Network/Data Engineer, responsible for installing and maintaining their core and edge infrastructure. In 2020, they joined Gateway Fiber as a Senior Network Engineer.

Jeff Shilt attended ITT Technical Institute and completed their Associates of Applied Science in Electronics Engineering Technology in 1986. Jeff further pursued their education at the same institute and obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electronics Engineering Technology in 1989.
