Melissa Willa

Melissa Willa is a seasoned educational and clinical professional with extensive experience in special education and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). As the Co-Founder and Chief Clinical Officer of Kyo (formerly Gateway Learning Group) since June 2019, Melissa has played a pivotal role in the development of innovative clinical practices. Previously, Melissa co-founded Gateway Learning Group and served as CEO from October 2005 to June 2019. With a strong background in curriculum development, Melissa worked as an Autism and Behavior Content Specialist at the San Francisco Unified School District, where significant contributions included mentoring educators and designing early intervention programs. Melissa's career began in teaching roles, including special education and therapy for children with autism, complemented by advanced degrees from Teachers College, Columbia University, and SUNY Geneseo.
