Joel Gfeller

Joel Gfeller has a long history of experience in the food industry. Joel began their career in 2001 as a Research Scientist for Yves Veggie Cuisine Inc. In 2002, they became a Product Development and Technology consultant and Research and Creative Development Scientist for gardein™. In 2012, they became the Owner of DTE (Down to Earth) Consulting- dteconsulting.ca. In 2017, they took on the role of VP Innovation and Technology for Good Catch Foods. In 2019, they were appointed Chief Innovation Officer for Gathered Foods & Cultivated Food Labs. Most recently, in 2022, they were named President and COO of Gathered Foods.

Joel Gfeller completed a Bachelor's Degree in Food Science Agricultural Science from The University of British Columbia between 2000 and 2003. Joel then went on to receive a Diploma in Viticulture and Enology from Brock University between 2006 and 2007.
