Alison Jackson

President, Television, UK at Gaumont

Alison Jackson began her career in film, working at Working Title for over seven years. Passionate about development, while there she worked with a broad range of new and experienced voices including Richard Curtis, Michael Hirst and Hanif Kureishi. When she discovered the joys and challenges of long form story telling she moved into television drama. As a freelance Producer she was lucky enough to work on a broad range of shows in the UK and internationally, including BAFTA acclaimed Not Only But Always for Channel 4, Child of Mine for ITV, No Night is Too Long for BBC and Alliance Atlantic, Sally Wainwright’s Amazing Mrs Pritchard for BBC. Alison was then asked to join the team at Kudos as an Executive Producer, where she worked on some of the UK’s most popular shows, including Ashes to Ashes, Moving Wallpaper, Nearly Famous, Law and Order UK, MI High and two series of Sky Atlantic’s Tin Star. There she had the pleasure of working with some of the UK’s most respected writers including Matthew Graham and Ashley Pharoah, Rowan Joffe and Holly Phillips. Since joining Gaumont at the end of 2018, Alison has established the UK branch of the company, Gaumont Ltd, and served as President. She oversees all shows in development; whilst also Executive Producing the third series of Tin Star – a co-production between Gaumont Ltd and Kudos. Alison is passionate about developing and making unique, accessible and entertaining stories from the UK and internationally – stories that no matter the setting, genre or time period feel original, relevant and bold.
