Irina Petkova

Irina Petkova is a seasoned professional in project management and portfolio oversight within the health sector, currently serving as Senior Project Manager for Portfolio Management at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance since December 2016. Previously, Irina held roles as LFA Coordination Lead and Programme Officer at The Global Fund from February 2014 to July 2016, as well as Review Team Lead for Frontiers in 2012. Irina's academic background includes a PhD in Chemistry from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and an MSc in Chemistry from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, complemented by further education at the Geneva Graduate Institute in 2015-2016. Irina's extensive experience spans over two decades in research and project leadership, notably at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, where significant contributions were made from 1997 to 2009.
