Ed Hinman

Senior Vice President, Associate Services at Gavin de Becker & Associates

Ed Hinman has a diverse work experience, starting with their time in the United States Marine Corps as an Infantry Officer from 1999 to 2007. Ed led Marines in various locations and conducted security operations.

In 2009, Hinman joined Gavin de Becker & Associates (GDBA) where they held multiple roles over the years. Ed started as a Protector and later became a Manager in Recruitment and Selection. From 2012 to 2015, they served as the Director of Recruitment, Selection, and Training, ensuring the hiring of individuals passionate about protecting people. From 2015 to 2017, they were the Director of Advancement and Training, responsible for refining GDBA's training programs. From 2018 to 2022, they worked as the Director of Protector Culture and CARE, focusing on creating a supportive environment for GDBA Associates. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Vice President, Associate Services, providing resources and advocacy for GDBA Associates and their families.

Ed Hinman earned a Bachelor's Degree in History from the United States Naval Academy between 1995 and 1999. Ed later pursued a Master's Degree in History from California State University, Northridge from 2007 to 2009.
