Sergey Zakharov

Sergey Zakharov, CFA, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience, primarily in the fields of corporate finance and academia. Sergey started their career at Ernst & Young as an Analyst from May 2006 to February 2008. Sergey then moved on to Gazprombank, where they held various roles in the Corporate Finance department from February 2008 to October 2020, including Director and Managing Director, focusing on M&A, private equity, and merchant banking. In 2014, they briefly served as a Member of the Board of Directors at Settlement depository company (SDCO CJSC). Since January 2015, Zakharov has also been working as a Lecturer at the Higher School of Economics.

Sergey Zakharov, CFA, Ph.D. completed their education at Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU). From 2002 to 2007, they obtained a degree in Specialist, specializing in Maths, Applied Maths, Financial, and Actuarial Analysis. Following that, from 2007 to 2011, they pursued a Postgraduate Ph.D. degree in Corporate Finance at the same institution.
