Lucy Johnston

Lucy Johnston is an experienced journalist and broadcast commentator specializing in health and social affairs. Currently serving as a health and social affairs commentator at GB News since February 2022, Lucy has a longstanding career with Express Newspapers as health editor and health and social affairs editor of the Sunday Express, where Lucy has built a reputation for exclusive stories over more than two decades. Previously involved in investigative journalism at the Observer and as assistant editor at The Big Issue, Lucy holds a BA Hons in History from the University of Birmingham and completed A levels in Economics, English Literature, and History at Culford School. In addition to journalism, Lucy engages with audiences through talks in schools and media advisory roles for businesses.
