Gary Carlson is a seasoned maritime professional with extensive experience as a captain and deck officer across multiple organizations. Most recently, Carlson served as a Captain (Unlimited Master) for GBA Ships e.V., navigating the MV Logos Hope in the Southern Caribbean since November 2020. Prior to that, Carlson held various roles including Chief Mate for Crowley Maritime and Maersk Line, Limited, and First Officer with the Military Sealift Command aboard the USS Ponce. In addition to practical maritime experience, Carlson holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Old Dominion University and a Bachelor of Science in Oceanography from the United States Naval Academy. Currently retired since July 2022, Carlson plans to establish a retirement business.
