Michael Hughes is the Co-CEO of LoopUp, a company specializing in cloud-based global communications, since June 2003. In addition to this role, Michael founded the Silicon Valley Internship Programme in September 2012, becoming a finalist for the BritWeek UKTI Business Innovation Award in 2013 and receiving recognition in TechCrunch. Michael is also a Founding Board Member of GBx Global, facilitating innovation and collaboration among British entrepreneurs in the Bay Area. Previously, Michael served as an Executive Board Member of the British American Business Council Northern California and held the position of VP & GM of International Operations at Pagoo, where significant contributions included raising substantial funding and establishing critical partnerships. Michael began their career at Monitor Company as an Engagement Manager, overseeing project teams and expanding the firm's international presence. Academic qualifications include an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a Master of Engineering in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College London.
