Deputy Director: Media Buyer at GCIS

Refilwe Letsoalo has a comprehensive work experience in media planning and buying. Refilwe started their career as a Trainee Media Planner at Draftfcb in 2008, where they gained experience in conducting competitive analyses and building relationships with media owners. Refilwe then moved on to work as a Marketing and Advertising Practitioner at the Department of Labour from 2010 to 2011, where they executed marketing campaigns and managed the placements of advertisements. After that, they joined GCIS as an Assistant Director: Implementation Planner/Buyer from 2012 to 2013, where they oversaw the execution of media-based promotional strategies aligned with government objectives. Refilwe was later promoted to the position of Deputy Director: Media Buyer at GCIS, where they developed effective media advertising campaigns and integrated communication strategies for public service departments.

Refilwe Letsoalo's education history begins with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Marketing Communications from the University of Johannesburg, which they obtained between the years 2004 and 2008. In 2013, they attended Wits Business School, where they completed a Master of Arts in Business Administration and Management, General (MAP) program, lasting for one year.
