Michel de Ruijter

Michel de Ruijter currently serves as the General Manager at GCP Applied Technologies, having joined the company in August 2015, following its establishment as a spin-off from WR Grace. Prior to this role, Michel held the position of Global R&D Director SBM at WR Grace from August 2011 to July 2015, where responsibilities included overseeing product development and innovation in the Specialty Building Materials division. Michel's earlier experience includes serving as Director of R&D at Avery Dennison from January 2005 to August 2011, managing the research and development efforts for the Specialty Tape Division in North America, and working as an R&D Manager at Unilever HPC from March 1999 to December 2004, focusing on the development of laundry products and processes. Michel holds a PhD in Physics from UMONS, a Master's in Environmental Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and a Master's in Chemistry from Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
