Akin Majekodunmi

Akin Majekodunmi, CFA, is the Chief Executive Officer at GCR Ratings in Nigeria since May 2020 and a Co-Founder of Intelligence Africa since August 2021. Previously, Akin served as Vice President and Senior Credit Officer for Financial Institutions in Africa at Moody's Investors Service from October 2014 to May 2020. Akin held the position of Director of Structured Finance at UniCredit between February 2011 and October 2014, focusing on credit analysis for various European and US securitizations. Earlier career roles include Senior Credit Analyst in Fixed Income/Structured Finance at Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank Limited from September 2006 to January 2011, and a Fixed Income Product Accountant at HSBC from September 2004 to August 2006. Akin holds an MSc in Management from Bayes Business School and a BA in Economics from Leeds University Business School, alongside A Levels in Art, Economics, and Maths from Cranleigh School.
