Andy Black has a strong background in engineering management within the transport sector, currently serving as Technical Support Manager at GCT Global Container Terminals since July 2014. Prior experience includes roles at FirstGroup as Engineering Manager for the UK Bus North Region, where Andy supported depot management teams and led continuous improvement projects, and as Workshop Planning Manager, overseeing the maintenance of a substantial vehicle fleet. Additional roles at FirstGroup included Engineering Shift Supervisor responsible for routine maintenance and engineering team supervision, alongside a brief secondment as Rail Vehicle Design Engineer Trainee at Network Rail, and early career experience as a Manufacturing Process Improvement Intern at Craven & Co.
