Arash Mirjalili

Battery Materials Engineer at GDI

Arash Mirjalili, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries.

In 2022, they joined Graphenix Development Inc. (GDI) as a Battery Materials Engineer.

Prior to this, they worked at the University of California, Riverside from 2016 to 2021. During this time, they served as a Lecturer/Graduate Teaching Assistant and a Graduate Research Assistant.

From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Graduate Research/Teaching Assistant at Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Before pursuing their studies in the United States, they worked as an R&D/Safety Specialist at the Tehran Fire Department, Tehran Safety Service and Fire Fighting Organization from 2013 to 2014.

In 2010, Arash co-founded Hexane Chemical Process Pasargad and served as the Chief of the Board. Arash remained involved with the company until 2013.

From 2007 to 2010, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Iran University of Science and Technology.

Additionally, they worked as an English Language Teacher at Iranmehr English Institute (NBE International Education Method) from 2006 to 2010.

In 2008, they also worked as a Researcher at Tak Kaaj, although specific dates were not provided.

Arash Mirjalili, Ph.D., has an extensive education history in the field of chemistry and renewable energy. Arash began their academic journey at Shahid Beheshti University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pure Chemistry from 2002 to 2007. Following this, from 2007 to 2010, they pursued a Master's Degree in Physical Chemistry with a focus on nanoparticle synthesis and thermodynamic study at Iran University of Science and Technology.

Continuing their education, Arash attended Texas A&M University-Commerce from 2014 to 2016, where they obtained another Master's Degree. During this time, their studies concentrated on heterogeneous catalysis, specifically the selective hydrogenation of acetylene.

Arash's passion for sustainable energy led him to the University of California, Riverside, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree from 2016 to 2021. Arash'sdoctoral research encompassed various aspects of renewable energy, including lithium-ion batteries, supercapacitors, and the broader topic of sustainability.
