Dr. James Matney

Dr. James Matney is the Senior Vice President of Solutions and Chief Technology Officer at Red River Government Technology Services, a role focused on driving innovation and enhancing IT service offerings through emerging technologies since July 2024. Prior to this, Dr. Matney held various leadership positions, including Vice President of Strategy and Vice President & General Manager at General Dynamics Information Technology, Chief Technology Officer for Jai Solutions, LLC, and Vice President of Enterprise Solutions at SAIC. Dr. Matney's extensive experience includes directing the Defense Group at CSRA Inc., managing UASOCS operations with URS Corporation, serving as the Chief of Information Capabilities and Integration for US Pacific Command, and advising the Iraqi Ministry of Defense’s Chief Information Officer. Dr. Matney holds a Doctorate in Computer Science with a focus on Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Colorado Technical University, along with a Master’s in Management Information Technology and a Bachelor’s in Computer Studies.
