Tammy Kness

Tammy Kness is GDIT’s senior vice president of human resources and communications, reporting to President Amy Gilliland. Tammy oversees all matters related to people management and development, talent acquisition, benefits, compensation, global mobility, diversity and inclusion, corporate giving as well as employee engagement and internal communications.

Since joining GDIT in 2003, Tammy has served in a number of leadership positions within the company’s federal civilian portfolio. Most recently, Tammy served as vice president of operations, where she led contracts, subcontracts, risk management, data privacy, strategic planning and execution efforts across the portfolio. She also served as vice president and general manager of GDIT’s health solutions sector.

Prior to GDIT, Tammy held leadership and engineering positions at SYSCOM and Keane, Inc.

Tammy earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science with a concentration in economics from the University of Maryland.
