Joyce Chiang

Joyce Chiang is a highly experienced Staff Engineer at GE Aerospace, having joined in June 2011. Currently, as the Fluid Systems Team Lead, Joyce specializes in the design, procurement, and testing of oil tanks, pumps, and valves for a new centerline turboshaft military engine. Previously, Joyce contributed as an Oil Components/Additive Design Engineer and Mechanical Systems Design Engineer, focusing on turboprop/turboshaft military engine applications, handling design, analysis, and manufacturing support for various mechanical components. Joyce's earlier role as a combustor design engineer involved turbofan applications. Joyce's professional journey began with a Manufacturing Engineer Co-op position at GE Aviation, where management of military sump and exhaust hardware occurred to optimize inventory. Educational credentials include a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a study abroad program in Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark.
