Kimberly Hammer is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in component design and research, currently serving as Lead Engineer for Mechanical Component Design at GE Aerospace since April 2019. Kimberly began a career at General Electric as a Research Engineer in the Metals and Ceramics group, following participation in the Edison Engineering Development Program at GE Research. Previous roles include Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Arizona, where research focused on solar energy applications, and various internships emphasizing mechanical engineering, energy efficiency, and renewable energy technologies. Kimberly holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Fluids and Thermosciences, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
