Sai Yeratapally

Sai Yeratapally is a highly experienced engineer specializing in material mechanics and durability, currently serving as Lead Engineer at GE Aerospace since August 2025. Prior to this role, Sai worked as a Senior Research Engineer at Science and Technology Corporation (STC) from June 2023 to August 2025, where involvement included conducting research for NASA Langley Research Center focused on the Qualification and Certification of Additively Manufactured metallic materials. Sai has a substantial background at NASA Langley Research Center as a contractor through STC and the National Institute of Aerospace from March 2016 to August 2025, contributing to advances in additive manufacturing, micromechanical model validation, and fatigue and fracture research. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Purdue University and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, complemented by a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
