Alexander J. Hagedorn

Alexander J. Hagedorn is a seasoned packaging engineering professional with extensive expertise across various roles in leading companies. Currently serving as Principal Design Engineer for Packaging at GE Appliances since August 2023, Alexander directs initiatives in packaging development, supply chain practices, and sustainability strategies while focusing on material innovation. Prior experiences include a significant tenure as Senior Packaging Engineer at Sazerac Company from February 2017 to July 2023, where Alexander managed a top-tier packaging engineering department and spearheaded sustainability projects. Earlier roles at GE Appliances culminated in leadership of the packaging center of excellence and involvement in packaging design and testing processes. In addition to industry experience, Alexander has an academic background in packaging science, holding a PhD from Virginia Tech and teaching positions at both Virginia Tech and Indiana State University.
