Jaekeia Fuqua Flakes, MEng has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Jaekeia began their career at Toyota North America in 2007, working as an Engineer in Training before transitioning into the role of Process Engineer in the BodyWeld Group. Jaekeia worked in this position from June 2009 to January 2014. Following their time at Toyota, Jaekeia joined Magneti Marelli in July 2014 as a Manufacturing Engineer, specializing in Labor Analysis. Jaekeia worked there until November 2015. Currently, Jaekeia is employed at GE Appliances, a Haier company, where they hold the position of Lead IT Project Manager / Systems Analyst Admin. Since starting in November 2015, they have been responsible for leading the overall strategy for the FIS and IT systems for Decatur Plant Operations and the GE Production System (GPS). Jaekeia also manages FIS projects through all phases of development, including design, programming, simulation & testing, and start-up. Additionally, Jaekeia supports FIS and IT system needs for ERP+ and the upcoming Mission One investment program. Recently, in October 2022, they took on the role of Principal Digital Technology Program Manager for Air & Water Microenterprises.

Jaekeia Fuqua Flakes holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Information Engineering Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, which was obtained between 2013 and 2015. Prior to this, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the same university, completing their undergraduate studies from 2001 to 2007.
