Lawrence Portaro

Lawrence Portaro serves as Senior Director of New Product Introduction at GE Appliances, a Haier company, since January 2021. Prior to this role, Lawrence was the Executive Director at FirstBuild from June 2016 to January 2021, where responsibilities included managing business operations across design, manufacturing, and sales, as well as cultivating partnerships to drive growth. Lawrence began a lengthy tenure at GE in January 1992, ultimately holding the position of Executive Engineering Leader for Cooking Products, overseeing all engineering initiatives for the division. Educationally, Lawrence holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Louisville, obtained between 1986 and 1991.
