Hacene Karrad

Hacene Karrad is a seasoned technical leader in data and artificial intelligence, currently serving as Technical Lead Data & AI at GE Vernova since August 2025. Prior to this role, Hacene held the position of Technical Lead Data/AI at Alteia from October 2020 to August 2025, where responsibilities included managing end-to-end execution of AI and data science projects and leading a team of engineers. Earlier experience includes a role as a Computer Vision Engineer/Data Scientist at Alteia, where Hacene supervised the development of a 3D point cloud classification algorithm and implemented advanced neural networks. Hacene also worked as a Computer Vision Engineer at Delair, focusing on powerline network defect detection and optimizing neural networks for drone-acquired images. An internship at Veolia France involved weakly supervised instance segmentation using convolutional neural networks on Google Cloud Platform. Hacene holds a Master 2 degree in Système Embarqués et Traitement de l'Information from Paris-Sud University and a Master 2 degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Boumerdes.
