Mike Hetz

Mike Hetz is an accomplished cybersecurity leader with extensive experience at GE. Currently serving as the Business Information Security Officer (BISO) Leader for GE Vernova, Hetz implements cybersecurity strategies across the organization while leading a team of BISOs. Previous roles at GE Power included Chief Information Security Officer, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing cybersecurity for the Gas Power division, and Deputy Chief Information Security Officer, focusing on regulatory compliance and strategic initiatives. Hetz's experience extends to GE Transportation, where as Chief Information Security Officer, management of enterprise IT security and compliance was prioritized. Earlier positions at GE Global Research involved program and project management in creating knowledge management initiatives and supporting engineering tools across multiple GE businesses. Hetz holds a bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering Systems from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and a master's degree in Computer Science from Union College.
