Sean Smith

Sean Smith is an experienced public affairs professional currently serving as Senior Manager of Public Affairs at GE Vernova since August 2023, having held a similar position at GE from February 2021 to August 2023. Prior to that, Sean was Communications Director and Speechwriter for U.S. Senator Tim Scott from January 2013 to January 2021, where responsibilities included the development and implementation of communication strategies and managing campaigns on complex policy issues. Additional experience includes roles as Communications Director for the Office of U.S. Congressman Tim Scott, Public Relations Director for the Louisiana Department of Health, Director of Constituent Services under Governor Bobby Jindal, and Press Secretary and Legislative Assistant for Congressman Bobby Jindal. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Political Communication from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in History with Departmental Distinction from Southern Methodist University.
