Monica Hapiach Christensen

Monica Hapiach Christensen is a seasoned public affairs professional with extensive experience in industry policy and engagement related to the EU Green Deal initiatives. Currently serving as a Senior Public Affairs Manager at Novonesis since January 2024, Monica previously held the position of Public Affairs Manager at Novozymes from December 2021 to January 2024, where leadership was provided for EU Public Affairs and chairmanship of the Public Affairs Working Group in the EU’s enzyme association. Prior roles include Special Adviser at Udenrigsministeriet, Associate Political Affairs Officer at the United Nations, and Head of Section in various departments at Udenrigsministeriet. Monica's early career involved research and assistant roles related to human rights and gender studies. Monica holds a Master's in Public Administration and Global Studies, a European Master's in Human Rights and Democratisation, and a Bachelor's in Communication and Global Studies from Roskilde University.
