Sherwyn Applewhaite P.E., PMP, Six Sigma, is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in technical leadership and project management within the power generation sector. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at GE Vernova since May 2019, Sherwyn has been instrumental in guiding a diverse team through the operations of the Generator and Electrical Systems Fleet Management team. Prior experience at GE Power includes roles as Senior Technical Support Manager and Lead Engineer, where Sherwyn developed field procedures and resolved complex turbine generator issues while driving engineering design improvements. An advocate for continuous improvement, Sherwyn has successfully led Lean Six Sigma projects that resulted in significant cost savings. Educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Guyana.
