Sjoerd van Dijk

Sjoerd van Dijk has a strong background in the field of engineering and production. Currently, they are working at Gearbox as a Robotics Engineer since March 2023, after previously working as a Vision Engineer from July 2021 to March 2023, and as a Junior R&D Engineer from November 2019 to July 2021. Sjoerd has also completed internships at Gearbox as a Stagiair from February 2021 to June 2021, and from September 2019 to November 2019.

Before joining Gearbox, Sjoerd worked as a Stagiair Software at Houdijk Holland from November 2019 to February 2020. Prior to that, they gained experience as a Productiemedewerker at Van der Valk Horti Systems from April 2017 to November 2019, at Van der Valk Solar Systems from April 2017 to November 2019, at TiSento Feelings of Flowers from July 2015 to March 2017, and at Pligt Professionals B.V. from July 2013 to May 2015.

Sjoerd van Dijk began their education in 2011 at ISW Hoogeland, where they pursued a degree in HAVO with a focus on Natuur en techniek (Science and Technology). Sjoerd completed their studies at ISW Hoogeland in 2017.

In 2017, Sjoerd van Dijk enrolled at De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Sjoerd studied Mechatronica / Robotica / Industriële automatisering (Mechatronics / Robotics / Industrial automation) at the university until 2021. During their time at De Haagse Hogeschool, Sjoerd obtained their propedeuse mechatronica (propaedeutic certificate in Mechatronics) in July 2018. Sjoerd further achieved a HBO Bachelor degree in Mechatronica in June 2021.

In addition to their academic degrees, Sjoerd van Dijk also obtained a certification in Technasium from ISW Hoogeland in June 2017.
