Dan Black

Dan Black has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Dan is currently the Managing Director at Gearbox Publishing since November 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Nordstrom for three years, starting in December 2016, as a Principal Program Manager and Senior Technical Program Manager. Before Nordstrom, Dan had a long tenure at Microsoft (XBOX), where they held various roles from 1993 to 2016. Dan served as a Lead Developer Account Manager, managing relationships with AAA publishers and development teams worldwide. Dan also worked as a Program Manager for the Windows XP - Shell Team, and as a Senior Account Manager - Producer. Additionally, Dan co-founded Orca Games in 1990 and served as the Vice President until 1993. Throughout their career, they have successfully supported the launch of multiple consoles, operating systems, devices, and cloud services.
