Al Biglan

Al Biglan has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Al is currently the Head of Robotics at Gecko Robotics, Inc. since March 2023. Prior to that, they served as the CTO at Tobii Dynavox from January 2021 to March 2023. In 2021, they briefly worked as the Director of Maps & Localization at Aurora. From June 2017 to January 2021, they were the Head of the Maps & Localization Department at Uber. Before that, they worked at Panasas as the VP of Software Engineering from September 2013 to May 2017. From August 2010 to August 2013, they were the VP of Product & Support at Etcetera Edutainment (now SimCoach Games). Al also held roles at Vocollect as the Director & Sr. Manager from October 2005 to January 2010, at Nokia as a Sr. Program Manager from January 2004 to April 2005, at Union Switch and Signal as a Sr. Project Engineering Manager from November 2001 to January 2004, and at ASE Edge as the VP of Operations from April 2001 to October 2001. Throughout their career, Al has demonstrated expertise in software engineering, project management, and team leadership.

Al Biglan attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 1988 to 1990, where they studied Computer Systems Engineering. Al then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics at Carnegie Mellon University from 1991 to 1994.
