Annette Säfholm

Annette Säfholm has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Annette is currently a board member at Pharmista Technologies as of 2022. Previously, Annette held various positions at Gedea Biotech AB, including CEO and Business Development and Project Manager, where they focused on developing antibiotic-free treatment for vaginal infections. Annette also worked as an independent consultant at Säfholm Partners AB, providing project management and business development services to biotech and pharmaceutical companies. Annette has held roles as a Business Development and Project Manager at Reccan Diagnostics AB, where they focused on developing a biotechnology platform for cancer diagnostics, and as a Project and Communications Manager at Idogen AB, overseeing the development of a tolerogenic vaccine for hemophilia A. Annette also worked as a Project Manager at Region Skåne and held publishing roles at Studentlitteratur AB, where they were responsible for medical and biomedicine publishing. Annette started their career as a Medical Writer at the Swedish Dairy Association and conducted research as a PhD student at Lund University and in a research project at Lund University's division of Biomedical Nutrition.

Annette Säfholm has a diverse education history. In 1998 to 2002, they attended Linköping University and obtained a Master's degree in Medical Biology. Additionally, in 2001 to 2002, they achieved a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Research School from the same university. Continuing their education, from 2003 to 2007, they pursued a PhD in breast cancer metastasis at Lund University.

In terms of executive education, Annette enrolled in the Executive Management Education program, "Leading Impact," at EFL - Executive Education from 2020 to 2022. Annette further enhanced their skills by completing a Pharma-Biotech Product & Company Valuation course at CELforPharma in 2023.

Annette Säfholm also holds several additional certifications. In 2018, they obtained a GCP certificate from Region Skåne. Moreover, they became a "Certified Member - Right Focus in Board Work SME" from StyrelseAkademien in 2017. In 2015, they earned a Prince2 Foundation certificate in Project Management from APMG-International.
