Walt Williams has a diverse work experience. walt started as an Officer in the US Army in 1977 and ended their service in 1988. Later, they became a Program Manager for the Defense Research and Engineering Network (DREN) at the US Army from January 2008 to January 2010. Then, they worked as a Network Engineer for the United States Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) from January 2010 to September 2011. After that, they became a Program Manager for the Program Manager for Geeks and Nerds (GaN) Corporation under contract to the US Army. Finally, in October 2016, they became an Electronics Engineer at the GaN Corporation.

Walt Williams completed their undergraduate degree in Physics at Ouachita Baptist University in 1977. Later, in 1989, they attended Mercer University for a year-long program in Engineering Management. No degree was mentioned for their time at Mercer.
