Mark Gartsbeyn

Mark Gartsbeyn is an experienced professional in the fields of education and media, currently serving as an Editorial Assistant and Quizmaster for Geeks Who Drink since December 2018, where responsibilities include hosting quizzes and writing trivia rounds. Concurrently, Mark leads afterschool and summer programs at Somerville Community Schools, focuses on curriculum development, and tutors students in mathematics. Previous roles include working as a Trivia Writer for IQ 2000 Trivia and serving as an AmeriCorps Volunteer Engagement Specialist at 826 Boston, where tasks involved editing documents and training volunteers. Mark has freelanced for Boston Globe Media, creating multimedia content during the pandemic and has extensive editorial experience from managing the arts section at The Berkeley Beacon. Mark holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Cinematography and Film/Video Production from Emerson College.
