Maximilian Balfors

Maximilian Balfors is currently the Head of Business Development & Investments at Geely in Sweden, overseeing the European operations of Geely Holding since October 2021. Prior to this role, Maximilian served as Director of Business Development & Investments at Rothschild & Co from March 2018 to October 2021, and held positions as Vice President and Associate focused on M&A advisory. Earlier experience includes working as an Associate in Corporate Finance at Barclays Investment Bank and in the Investment Banking Division at DNB Markets. Maximilian began a career in finance with internships at Orkla ASA and Bernheim Dreyfus & Co as an M&A Analyst. Educational qualifications include a Master in Management with a focus on Corporate Finance from Emlyon Business School, a Master of Swedish Law in Business Law, and a Bachelor in Business and Economics, both from Stockholm University, along with a Master's programme in Law from Uppsala University.
