Michele Vaccaro

Michele Vaccaro has a diverse and extensive work experience in software and firmware engineering. Michele is currently working as a Senior Software & Firmware Engineer at Gefran, a position they started in November 2021. Before joining Gefran, they held the same position at Vimar SpA since April 2020. Prior to that, from January 2013 to April 2020, Michele worked at SiliconDev as a Responsible for Firmware and Software Development, where they led projects in the automotive, defense-space, and industry sectors.

In their earlier career, Michele gained experience as a Senior Software & Firmware Engineer at Snap-on Incorporated from January 2011 to December 2012. Michele also worked as a Senior IT Analyst at Alosys Communications from January 2006 to January 2011. Prior to that, they worked as an IT Analyst at Viasat Group S.p.A. from January 1999 to January 2006 and at Sirti S.p.A. from January 1996 to January 1999, where they focused on software development for telecommunication systems.

Throughout their career, Michele has demonstrated a strong technical expertise in software and firmware engineering, with a specific focus on embedded systems and a wide range of industries including automotive, defense-space, and telecommunication.

Michele Vaccaro received their education in the field of computer science. From 1985 to 1990, they attended Istituto Tecnico Industriale spec. Informatica and earned a degree as a Perito Informatico. Following that, they pursued further studies at Università degli Studi di L'Aquila, where they completed a Laurea triennale in Scienze e Tecnologie Informatiche from 1991 to 2004.
