Jay McCarthy

Jay McCarthy has extensive experience in quality assurance and engineering, with a career spanning over two decades. At GE HealthCare from November 2011 to April 2024, McCarthy held several key positions, including Senior Quality Assurance Director for Global Services and Quality Assurance Director for Global Installation Services, overseeing compliance with ISO 13485 and global medical device regulations for over 700 employees. Responsibilities included developing quality plans, executing audit strategies, and managing CAPA boards. Prior to GE HealthCare, McCarthy worked as an Artificial Intelligence Research Engineer at NW Computational Intelligence Lab, leading projects on neural network controllers, and served as a Sales Engineer at W.L. Gore & Associates, managing a $7 million territory. McCarthy holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Portland State University.
