Masanam Mariappan

Masanam Mariappan has extensive experience in the healthcare technology sector, currently serving as the Director of System Architecture and Design at GE HealthCare since November 2001. In this role, Masanam leads the development of GEHC MR Systems. Previous positions include Principal Engineer for MR Systems Service Design, where Masanam drove service design strategies across product lines, and Senior Systems Architect, focusing on system architecture design for serviceability. Masanam has consistently managed teams in various engineering capacities, emphasizing new product development and service engineering. Prior experience includes a research scientist role at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research specializing in protein structure elucidation through spectroscopy and a marketing executive position in microbiological laboratory promotion. Masanam holds a Master of Technology in Biomedical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a Master of Science in Physical Chemistry from Bharathiar University.
