Marta Portela Esteban

Marta Portela Esteban currently serves as a Translational Project Manager at GEICAM - Spanish Breast Cancer Group since December 2021. Previously, Marta held positions at La Trobe University from May 2019 to December 2021, including Adjunct Research Fellow and Senior Postdoctoral Fellow. Marta's postdoctoral experience also includes a role at Instituto Cajal, CSIC, and a teaching position at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Prior experience includes academic roles at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO), as well as conducting doctoral research at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, where Marta earned a PhD in Molecular Biology. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a Master in Cell Biology and Genetics, as well as a teaching certificate from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
