Mohammad Jafari

Mohammad Jafari, PhD, is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in predictive modeling and machine learning. Currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at GEICO since August 2022, Mohammad previously worked at Citi as a Data Scientist, where collaboration with over 30 professionals led to the development of forecast models for multi-billion-dollar business exposure. Prior roles include Research Associate positions at The University of Texas at Dallas, focusing on wind energy forecasts using advanced machine learning techniques, and at Iowa State University, where innovative predictive models were developed to analyze structural failures and optimize design safety. Mohammad holds a PhD in Engineering Mechanics from Iowa State University and advanced degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology and Isfahan University of Technology.
