Azra Ahmed

Azra Ahmed is an experienced compliance and risk management professional with a robust career spanning over 18 years in various leadership roles. Currently serving as the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer at Geidea since August 2023, Azra previously held the position of Group Head of Compliance at Tap Payments and was the Head of Regulatory Compliance and Monitoring at Network International. Azra's background includes significant roles at Standard Chartered Bank, Natixis Global Asset Management, E*TRADE Financial Corporation, Majid Al Futtaim Asset Management, and Deutsche Bank, along with early experience at the DFSA. Azra's expertise includes developing compliance frameworks, managing AML processes, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards in the Middle East and North Africa region. Azra holds a BA Hons in Financial Services from Abertay University.
