Gary Bonfante

Gary Bonfante is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in emergency medicine and leadership roles. Currently serving as the Director of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Geisinger St. Luke's Orwigsburg since August 2019, Gary also holds positions as an Emergency Medicine Physician and Medical Staff President at the same facility. Previously, from July 1997 to August 2019, Gary was the Trauma Program Medical Director and Vice-Chair of Emergency and Hospital Medicine at Lehigh Valley Health Network. In addition to these roles, Gary has significant experience in medical education, having been the Program Director and Associate Program Director of the Emergency Medicine Residency at the Emergency Medicine Residency of the Lehigh Valley. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management at the Isenberg School of Management, UMass Amherst, Gary continues to enhance expertise in the medical field.
