Kate Saylor

Kate Saylor, PhD, currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Bioethics and Health & Research Policy at Geisinger since September 2024. Saylor has a diverse background in bioethics, public policy, and neuroscience, with notable previous roles including Presidential Management Fellow at the National Institutes of Health, where significant contributions included policy analysis and budget management. Additional experience includes working as a doctoral student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, focusing on science policy and bioethics, and serving as a postdoctoral researcher in Ethical, Legal, and Social Implications (ELSI) at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, with a focus on health equity and genetic testing. Academic credentials consist of a PhD in Public Policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an MS in Neuroscience from Oregon Health and Science University, and a BA in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Macalester College.
