Martin Matsumura

Martin Matsumura currently serves as the System Chief of Cardiac Genetics and Precision Medicine and Chief of Cardiology at Geisinger since April 2015. Prior experience includes Co-Director of the Cardiovascular Research Institute at Lehigh Valley Health Network from 2007 to 2015 and President of The Heart Care Group, PC from June 2003 to 2015. Martin also held the position of Assistant Director of Discovery Medicine at GlaxoSmithKline from January 2002 to May 2003 and was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Virginia from July 2000 to January 2002. Martin obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and completed a Medicine Residency at the University of Pennsylvania. Martin also has an educational background from the University of Virginia School of Medicine.
