Raquel Martinez, PhD, D(ABMM), MBA, currently serves as the System and Core Laboratory Director for Clinical and Molecular Microbiology and previously held the position of Associate Director of Clinical Microbiology at Geisinger since October 2013. With extensive training as a Clinical Microbiology Fellow at the University of Washington from July 2011 to July 2013, Raquel Martinez gained comprehensive expertise across various areas including bacteriology, mycology, mycobacteriology, parasitology, virology, serology, and molecular diagnostics. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Basic Science Research at Dartmouth Medical School and a Graduate Student position at Dartmouth College, where research was conducted under the guidance of Ronald K. Taylor. Raquel Martinez also holds an MBA in Health Care Administration/Management from the University of Scranton and a PhD in Microbiology from Dartmouth College.
