Jim Kasic

Jim Kasic is a board member at GelSana Therapeutics and was previously the President and CEO of Sophono, Inc. Jim has also served as the Chief Executive Officer of EndoShape.

Kasic co-founded Sophono through Boulder BioMed, which acquired the core technology from Prof Dr. Ralf Siegert and Otomag GmbH in 2010. Under their leadership as President/CEO, Sophono received CE Mark and ISO 13485 in 2010 and FDA Clearance in 2011. The company was also issued and granted several patents, including being the first company to receive CID4 competitive funding (www.cid4.com). In 2012, Sophono won the Colorado Company to Watch Award and the Colorado Bio Science Association Rising Star Award. In 2013, the company was named a Top Manufacturing Company by Colorado BIZ.

Jim Kasic received their MS in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder. Jim also holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Colorado Boulder and an MBA in Business Administration, Management and Operations from the University of Phoenix.
