Janine Spoor

Janine Spoor is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in local governance and social services. Currently serving as a member of the Temporary Committee on Asylum and Migration with VNG since January 2023, Janine advocates for the interests of municipalities in asylum and migration matters. As a Councillor for the municipality of Asten since April 2018, Janine oversees a wide range of responsibilities within the social domain, including welfare, youth care, and public health. Previously, Janine has held key roles in various organizations, such as Team Manager at Bureau Jeugdzorg Noord-Brabant and Coordinator at the Raad voor de Kinderbescherming. Janine's educational background includes a master's degree in Law from the University of Maastricht, with a focus on youth law and social security law, as well as a Management Development Program.
