Janek van Baal

Janek van Baal serves as a Senior Project Manager for Urban Development at Gemeente Capelle aan den IJssel since September 2023 and has been a Lecturer in Management and Spatial Development at Hogeschool Rotterdam since November 2013. Janek van Baal has extensive experience in project and program management, particularly in urban development, having previously held roles as an Advisor and Trainer at Janek van Baal, and Project Management within the Municipality of Rotterdam. Janek has a strong academic background with a Master's degree in Landscape Planning and Design from Wageningen University & Research, alongside qualifications in Urban Planning, Agile Project Management, and Effective Leadership. Additionally, Janek has contributed to several organizations and initiatives, including serving as a co-founder and secretary of Jong'R, a network for young civil servants in Rotterdam.
