Cees van den Bos

Cees van den Bos currently serves as the Burgemeester of Gemeente Goes since February 2024 and as a member of the Algemeen Bestuur of VNG since December 2022. In addition, Cees holds positions as a member of the Raad van Toezicht of Stichting Het Oversticht and as the chairman of the Regioteam Zuidwestelijke Delta, which advises on various regional sectors. Previously, Cees was the Burgemeester of Gemeente Urk and chaired the local KNRM committee until February 2024. Earlier roles include Wethouder in Gemeente Schouwen-Duiveland and Gemeente Goeree-Overflakkee, along with a long tenure as a beleidsadviseur in various municipalities focusing on societal development. Cees van den Bos holds a Master of Science in Public Management from Open Universiteit and a Bachelor’s degree in Technische Bedrijfskunde from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences.
